Lingerie & Harness Glossary

From bra sets to body harnesses — the vocabulary of intimate and statement wear, defined in plain language.

Bra Set

A bra and matching bottom sold together in the same fabric, colour and trim. The most common way to buy lingerie as a complete look.

Lingerie

Intimate apparel worn next to the skin — bras, bodies, sets and sleep pieces, usually in lace, satin, mesh or jersey.

Body / Bodysuit

A one-piece garment covering the torso and fastening at the gusset. Worn as lingerie or, in opaque fabrics, as a top.

Body Stocking

A sheer, stocking-weight one-piece covering torso and legs. Clings closely and is often open or crotchless by design.

Thong

A brief with a narrow rear strap, chosen to avoid visible lines under close-fitting clothing.

Garter Belt

A waist belt with adjustable clips that hold stockings up. The classic partner piece to seamed or lace-top hosiery.

Garter Set

Garter belt sold together with matching pieces — usually bra, brief and stockings in one coordinated set.

Garter Harness

A waist-and-thigh harness that doubles as a garter belt — vintage silhouette rebuilt with harness strapping.

Body Harness

A strap-based piece worn around the torso in leather, vegan PU or elastic. Layered over an outfit or worn against the skin.

Chest Harness

A harness sitting across the chest and shoulders — from a single minimalist strap to a full cage layout.

Harness Set

Coordinated top and bottom harness in matching material and tone, designed to be worn together.

Cage Bra

A bra-style top where extra straps form a cage-like pattern around the bust — where lingerie and harness fashion meet.

O-Ring

The metal ring where several straps meet — structural anchor and the most visible design signature of a harness.
