Halter Neck Cage Harness with White Reflective Thigh Bands

This is a two-part reflective body harness that reads as plain white webbing indoors and flashes bright under a direct light source such as a flash or headlights. The top section is a halter neck cage harness with a crisscross lattice front that sits over a separate bra, and it connects at the waist to a buckled belt joined to two thigh bands. Every strap junction is finished with a small silver metal grommet, and the whole harness closes at one center-front buckle so it goes on as a single layered piece.

Chest and waist layout

The bust section is built from several diagonal straps that cross into an X pattern between two vertical anchor straps, with a single halter strap running from the center of the lattice up around the back of the neck. An underbust band closes the bottom edge of the cage so it stays flat against a bra rather than riding up during wear, and the waist belt below it uses the same 2.5 cm strap width as the rest of the harness.

The harness is sold in six labeled sizes, from XS/S up to 6XL/7XL, and the buckles adjust within each labeled size rather than across the full range. XS/S and S/M sit closer to a narrower rib cage and thigh, while 2XL/3XL through 6XL/7XL extend both the waist belt and the thigh bands for a fuller frame. Because the chest cage sits over a separate top rather than against bare skin, it will not sit correctly worn alone without a base layer underneath.

Material and care

The straps are faux leather webbing with a bonded reflective coating, so the shine comes from the coating on the surface rather than a dye that can wash out. Hand wash the straps in cool water with a mild soap, wipe the reflective side dry with a soft cloth, and hang the harness flat instead of folding it, because sharp folds can crack the coating over time. The trade-off of this coating is that it dulls slightly after repeated hand washing, so it works better as an occasional piece than an everyday one.
